The numbat, also known as the marsupial anteater, is an animal similar to the anteater but smaller. The numbat only weighs 1 pound! It needs its excellent sense of smell to find its main food source, the termite. They are grey, brown, and a dull red with white stripes. Their tails are 7 in. long and their bodies are 11in. long. It’s home is in the woodland, often in a broken down tree trunk. Their predators are foxes.
