The class is practicing October words, like "pumpkin."
We have a student signing "book." We are excited that his dad
attends with him.
And, Kim and Ann (our volunteer Teacher of the Deaf) tell a story to the
class in sign language.
The Sign Language Club had a Special Guest on Nov. 13. Mrs. Patti Reitz, who is a teacher of the deaf and is herself deaf, came to speak to the Sign Language Club. Mrs. Reitz shared many stories about growing up deaf and also what it was like to be deaf and have hearing children. She shared a few jokes with the children too. Ask a member of the sign language club to tell you one of the jokes.
