The following brief bibliography will provide you with a beginning point for expanding your search for information. In the metro, there are three public resources that provide information for free or for a small fee. Of course, these materials are also available for purchase through bookstores and online as well.

This resource library is available to both parents and professionals with an interest in early childhood. The library includes books, journals, cds, videotapes, and newsletters and is available to anyone who lives in Nebraska. You can access catalogs online and request that materials be mailed to you at no cost. You are responsible for returning the materials by mail or in person after a three week period.

This is a special program for families with a child under the age of one year through the Omaha Public Library System. If you come in and get a library card for your child before his first birthday, you can check out a bag with materials designed for early reading with your child and you will receive a free book!
