This book is very well written and the author communicates the character's feelings to to the reader, but it's all a diary of a depressed girl. The feelings and general feel of the entire story is self-pity, regret, remorse, anger, and morbidly depressing heartbreak-soaked lines. It's rather unenjoyable to listen to someone complain about their life even though their situation might be difficult. Before the author wrote this, it was clearly thought-out and well constructed. But who wants to read such a mundane, emotional story? More or a plot-line and less journaling would have made the book more enjoyable - not only more interesting - but better all together. - NMS |
