This book was really fun to read. I liked it because Estrella didn't want a quincenera. It was funny how at the end they had a cake fight. I wish there was a second party. - BMS

liked the book a lot. It is one of my favorite books now. It tells you about another country's culture and I love learning about other people's cultures. I enjoyed this book because it had a good description & kept an image in my head. What was interesting about it was that she was kind of a nosey girl who thinks she saw things, but she may not have. This ability to have visions saved her life and many others. - MNHS

Quite frankly, I'm just not smart enough to read this book. I think the author has really good word choice - but I couldn't make heads or tails out of the story, so I never figured out what was going on. Not recommended. - MNHS

In the evaluation I stated the book was just okay because the ending was semi-happy - but the rest of the book...parts of it were just odd. Not a ton of excitement - and some of the characters I really hated. - MWHS

It's a good idea to try and read out to children and teenagers to tell them what happens when you drink at a young age, but it was a little boring.

I only thought the book was okay because half of the stories were how to shoot. I was hoping the whole book would be about robberies and school shootings because that is what grabs my attention. - MNHS

I liked most of this book. I liked the first about two thirds of it, especially the changing into animals and part-way changing into animals. I didn't like much of the last about one third because in it the main character likes and even marries a person of her same gender. Most of it was about as good as the ones before it in the series, though. - MNHS
