Description of Club/Activities: |
Meets to study a historical time period, place, culture, or event. We will have opportunities to participate in local activities, including a historical tour of Omaha, a visit to the Durham Western Heritage Museum, and a historical movie night. As a culminating activity, we visit a featured area the first week of June. In the past, members have visited Santa Fe, Boston, NYC, New Orleans, Savannah, Charleston, Hawaii, and Victoria, B.C. Fundraising is also done to defray the costs involved in the activities. |
