MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL As we head into the final stretch of the 2007-2008 school year, I want to emphasize the importance of having our students finish on a strong and positive note. With the weather warming, some students have a tendency to lose their academic focus. Now is the time to really encourage your kids to maintain their dedication to their school work and their cooperative school spirit. Thanks in advance for helping to ensure a smooth 4 th quarter academically, socially, and behaviorally for your sons and daughters. We have just wrapped up a highly successful winter activities season. We wish to thank our coaches, parents, and community for their support and assistance with our Mustang swimming/diving, wrestling, and basketball teams. Our state qualifying girls’ basketball team achieved its highest final ranking in the history of our program with our Third Place finish at the Nebraska State Basketball Tournament. Additionally, we experienced great success with our forensics, debate, and music programs in various competitions throughout the winter. Now, as we transition to our spring activities season, I strongly encourage you to continue to support our student-athletes, coaches, and sponsors. We are excited about building on the successes of our activities program, so please get out and support our Mustang performing arts, track/field, baseball, tennis, golf, and soccer programs! Our final exam schedule has been set. We will hold final exams for periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 on Thursday, May 29th . Periods 2, 4, 6, 0/8 will have finals on Friday, May 30 th . The final exam schedule leading up to graduation may be adjusted for seniors. More details on this later. Also, a reminder to all seniors and their families that our Graduation date is Saturday, May 31 st , 2008 at 10 AM at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. This is a change from past years of having graduation on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Graduation information is included in this newsletter. Summer school this summer will be held at Millard South High School from Tuesday, June 10th through Friday, July 11th . You can find our latest newsletter under the publications section on this site.
